ASLEF is growing!

ASLEF’s membership has grown to 18,313, with 53 additional members joining us in the first four days of this month.

Acting general secretary Keith Norman says he is delighted to be able to report the increase.

‘Our union will grow as we continue to show our ability to weather redundancy threats, resist redundancies, fight attacks on pay and conditions and deal with worries about franchises and external disruption.’

He added that this means that over 95% of eligible grades are now ASLEF members.

Keith says this is of great significance for the union. ‘We can speak for the people we represent with confidence,’ he says as he called on members to strive to recruit ‘the missing five percent’.

If you are a shunter who,s fed up with the lack of action from the RMT come and join us at ASLEF .Its about time that you had the benefit of restructuring like every other grade, and to make sure that you are properly represented when the negotiations for Shunter Drivers begin .ASLEF is THE union for all Drivers so come and enjoy the benefits of belonging to a union dedicated to representing all Driving Grades .
